John D. Curran, Associate

Attorney Curran has over 30 years of experience as a trial attorney with first-chair experience in over 30 jury trials. Prior to joining Parenteau and O'Hara, P.C. in 2018, Attorney Curran primarily focused on insurance defense in cases involving personal and commercial lines. He also represented insurers in litigation involving coverage disputes and bad faith claims.

As a former partner in a Boston based firm he represented consumers and small businesses in various commercial disputes. With Parenteau & O'Hara, John regularly represents insurance companies in subrogation actions along with his insurance defense practice.

In addition to trial practice, Mr. Curran has extensive appellate experience having briefed and argued cases before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, Massachusetts Appeals Court and the Massachusetts District Court Appellate Division. Most notably, Mr. Curran achieved a favorable outcome for an insurance company's limitation of liability to the policy limits of uninsured motorist coverage when the arbitration award exceeded policy limits.
